The Fresher's Orientation Program at the College of Science (CoS), KNUST, marked a significant milestone in the journey of new students as they embarked on their university experience. The Provost, Prof. Leonard K. The Registrar, Mr. Anthony Adjapong, provided an insightful overview of the College's history, elucidating the ethical guidelines of the University. The College Counsellor addressed the crucial aspect of mental well-being, highlighting the support services available for students facing psychological challenges. The emphasis on mental health underscored the College's commitment to fostering a holistic and supportive environment.

The College Examinations Officer shared vital information on university examination rules, stressing the importance of understanding and adhering to examination policies and procedures. Emphasis was placed on regular attendance, timely submission of assignments, and adherence to examination regulations.

The Systems Analyst delivered an enlightening speech on Information Technology (IT) services, introducing students to the University Information Technology Services (UITS) resources. Responsible and ethical use of technology was emphasized to ensure academic success while utilizing the available ICT facilities.

Another crucial aspect covered during the orientation program was student personal finance management. A comprehensive speech provided valuable insights into budgeting, saving, and avoiding overspending during the university journey. The orientation also covered school fees payment and scholarships, offering detailed information on payment procedures, available scholarships, eligibility criteria, and application procedures.
