The Science Students’ Association (SCISA) has donated washroom supplies to improve hygiene and sanitation facilities within the College.
The donation, led by the SCISA Women’s Commissioner, Akua Serwaa Bonsu, followed concerns about the need to improve condition of washrooms, particularly those used by female students.
Bonsu said the facilities needed improvement to meet hygiene standards and provide a more pleasant experience for students.
She said the initiative was made possible through support from Diva, a company based in Accra, which sponsored the donation.
Bonsu noted that while the items were initially provided for the women’s washrooms, plans were in place to extend similar support to the men’s facilities.
The donated items were received by the Provost, assisted by the Registrar and other senior staff of the University.
Receiving the items, the Provost of the College, Prof. Phillip Antwi Agyei, commended SCISA for the initiative and assured that the donated supplies would be put to effective use.
He said the donation aligned with the college’s efforts to improve sanitation, promote a healthy learning environment, and encourage student-led interventions that support campus wellbeing.
