Gifty Yawson, an MPhil student specializing in Nutrition and Dietetics, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, has been awarded a Graduate Research Fund to support her research into Nutrition and HIV management in children and adolescents. Her work focuses specifically on lipodystrophy syndrome in children undergoing highly active antiretroviral therapy.

This work supervised by Dr Mrs Mary Amoako will make an impact in Medical Nutrition therapy for children and adolescents living with HIV.
