In a significant step towards fostering education and literacy in local communities, Mrs. Francisca Boateng, the CEO of Read To Lead, recently paid a courtesy visit to the College of Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and technology. The purpose of her visit was to discuss the construction of a community library at Kotei, a project she spearheaded and is soon to be commissioned and handed over to the College for management.
The visit, described as insightful by those present, included discussions with the Provost of the College, Prof. Leonard K. Amekudzi. During the meeting, Prof. Amekudzi highlighted the profound impact the newly built library is expected to have on the lives of youth and the wider community. The library, once operational, is set to become a hub of knowledge and learning, providing access to a wide range of educational resources.
Mrs. Francisca Boateng shared some of the challenges she faced throughout the project's journey, from its inception to its current stage. Despite these obstacles, her dedication and commitment to improving access to education and promoting literacy have remained unwavering.
As the project nears completion, the vision of Mrs. Francisca Boateng and Read To Lead to create a space for knowledge-sharing and intellectual growth is set to become a reality. The library stands as a testament to the power of education to transform lives and uplift communities.
The College and Read To Lead look forward to the positive impact the library will have on the educational landscape of Kotei and the opportunities it will provide for the youth to thrive and excel
