Akoto Yaw Omari–Sasu is currently an Associate Professor of the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. He holds a PhD in Applied Statistics from the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, Ghana. He also holds an MSc in Financial Mathematics and Statistics from Technische Universitaet Kaiserslautern, Germany, as well as a BSc in Mathematics from KNUST Kumasi, Ghana. He has been involved in academic employment since September 2006 in various tertiary institutions in Ghana. He was first appointed Assistant Lecturer at All Nations University College (ANU), Koforidua, Ghana, then a lecturer at the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana, before joining the Department of Mathematics, KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana.  During his course of work, he has served on various committees and boards within the universities. He continues to serve as a moderator and external examiner to some universities as well as a reviewer of international journals. His research area is in Applied Statistics. He has over twenty-five publications in peer-reviewed international journals. His research area is in Applied Statistics. He teaches mainly courses in Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science.
